Economic volatility, geopolitical turbulence and interest rate uncertainty make it a great time to join CFC’s John Suter for the final update of 2025. This Economic and Financial Market Review, presented in collaboration with CFC and NSAC, will provide cooperative leaders with important information on external economic developments and emerging risks, which will help them make the best strategic financial decisions for their cooperative.
Presenter: John Suter, Vice President, Economic Research, CFC
John Suter serves as CFC’s Vice President of Economic Research, a role that provides capital markets and general economic research and analysis to CFC executive staff, directors and members. Suter regularly delivers updates on the state of the economy at rural electric meetings across the country and also writes two biweekly economic columns for CFC’s flagship publication, Solutions News Bulletin. As well, he records weekly podcasts on the economic landscape. Suter joined CFC in 1984 as an operations analyst and was promoted to the Treasury Division two years later where he performed a variety of roles before moving to the Corporate Relations Group. He strives to understand members’ business needs and develop appropriate products to meet them. He holds a master’s degree in economics from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. in finance and investments from George Washington University. He also is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
