Presenter: Nicole McGovern, Tax Director, Ag Processing Inc
Nicole McGovern oversees all tax compliance and planning at AGP. Prior to AGP, Nicole spent nine years at Deloitte focused on privately held and publicly traded companies in various industries, such as retail, manufacturing, and agriculture.
Nicole holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and is a member of the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives (NSAC) and the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC).
Presenter: Chelsey Anderson, Managing Director - Credits, Incentives & Methods – Energy & Excise, RSM US LLP
Chelsey is a managing director at RSM and has been with the firm for over 15 years. She is a leader within the Credits, Incentives & Methods practice, specializing in energy and excise tax matters. Chelsey provides strategic tax advisory services related to federal tax credits and incentives, including those introduced under recent energy legislation. Her work focuses heavily on clean energy and renewable fuels, where she advises clients on the eligibility, structuring, and monetization of tax credits, such as Section 45Z clean fuel production credit.
She has extensive experience performing tax credit studies across multiple industries, including manufacturing, food processing, and energy. Her responsibilities also include supporting clients through Internal Revenue Service examinations, developing tax positions, and assisting with audit defense and technical documentation.
Over the course of her career, Chelsey has led and contributed to complex engagements, helping clients navigate evolving regulatory requirements, document qualifications for credits, and execute transactions for the sale or transfer of credits. Her work frequently involves collaboration with legal, accounting, and technical stakeholders to deliver comprehensive, defensible tax opinions and compliance solutions.
Chelsey is known for her deep industry knowledge, practical approach to complex tax issues, and ability to guide clients through the full lifecycle of tax credit planning, compliance, and monetization.
Moderator: Wayne Sine, CPA, MBA, Education Director, National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives
After retiring as Tax Director of a regional supply cooperative on the East Coast, Wayne Sine was asked to serve as Education Director for NSAC. As an active and long-term member of NSAC, Wayne previously served as Chair of NSAC’s Tax Committee, President of the Atlantic Chapter, and was a recipient of NSAC’s Silver Bowl Award. In addition to his work with NSAC, Wayne has also served on the Legal, Tax, and Accounting (LTA) Committee of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, Chaired the Tax Committees for both the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Manufacturers Association, served on the Tax Policy Committee of the Virginia Society of CPAs, and served as Region Vice President for Tax Executives Institute.
