Presenter and Moderator Bios
Presenter: Randy F. Throener, CPA, Partner, FORVIS MAZARS
Randy is an audit partner for Forvis Mazars, a top 10 CPA firm. He is the national leader of Forvis Mazars' agribusiness industry practice and is a member of the Forvis Mazars manufacturing sector practice. Randy also leads the Nebraska Forvis Mazars commercial services group. He has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, providing audit and consulting services to a variety of clients, including agribusiness cooperatives, processors, producers, and distributors, as well as manufacturing and distribution and private equity-owned entities. He has extensive experience in hedge accounting, mergers and acquisitions, inventory valuation, cost analysis, and stock-based compensation. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the BKD Foundation Committee. He is a graduate of Leadership Lincoln and Leadership Nebraska. Randy is a 1994 honors graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, with a B.S. degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.

After retiring as Tax Director of a regional supply cooperative on the East Coast, Wayne Sine was asked to serve as Education Director for NSAC. As an active and long-term member of NSAC, Wayne previously served as Chair of NSAC’s Tax Committee, President of the Atlantic Chapter, and was a recipient of NSAC’s Silver Bowl Award. In addition to his work with NSAC, Wayne has also served on the Legal, Tax, and Accounting (LTA) Committee of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, Chaired the Tax Committees for both the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Manufacturers Association, served on the Tax Policy Committee of the Virginia Society of CPAs, and served as Region Vice President for Tax Executives Institute.
