National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives Announces Peggy Maranan as 2026 Silver Bowl Award Recipient

Miamisburg, Ohio — January 27, 2026 — The National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives (NSAC) is proud to announce that Peggy Maranan, CPA, DBA, MBA, Chief Financial Officer of DEMCO, has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the Silver Bowl Award, the Society’s highest and most prestigious honor.
The Silver Bowl Award recognizes an individual who, over an extended period, has made exceptional contributions that enhance both the image and operations of the cooperative profession. Bestowed by the NSAC Board of Directors, the award honors sustained leadership, service, and dedication to cooperative principles.
Peggy is being recognized for her outstanding leadership and lasting contributions to NSAC, particularly through her service as President of the Electric Cooperative Chapter. During her tenure, she provided thoughtful vision and strategic direction that led to unprecedented membership growth and created a lasting positive impact on the chapter and the Society as a whole.
In addition to her chapter leadership, Peggy has been a steadfast advocate for education and professional development within the cooperative accounting community. She has shared her expertise nationally as a conference speaker and through professional publications, including The Cooperative Accountant, helping to advance the cooperative accounting profession nationwide. Her influence as a mentor, leader, and trusted resource has been widely felt and deeply valued.
