2026-2027 NSAC Scholarship Application
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be graduating from high school in Spring 2026 or currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university
- Plan to major in business, accounting, or finance
- Be sponsored by a current member of the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives (NSAC).
- Be a U.S. citizen and attend a post-secondary institution located in the United States
Deadline
All applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. (local time) on March 31, 2026.
Completing the Application
Applicants must complete all sections of the online application. You will need to provide the following information:
- Sponsor information: Name, phone number, and email address
- Educational information: Grades, test scores, and a copy of your transcript submitted by the stated deadline (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
- Extracurricular activities and involvement
- Financial information
- Essay: The cooperative business model is a unique structure that significantly involves and impacts its patrons. Please describe your career plans and goals, and share your perspective on the cooperative business model and its impact.
Notification & Selection Criteria
Applicants will be notified of their application status by June 15, 2026.
Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in business, accounting, or finance
- Academic achievement
- Extracurricular involvement
- Quality of the written essay
- Financial need
Award Distribution
All applications, transcripts, and sponsor eligibility will be verified prior to review by the Selection Committee.
Recipients are responsible for submitting written proof of matriculation or current enrollment, along with a student identification number, to NSAC in order for funds to be distributed. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s post-secondary institution.
