We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join a collaborative team with a growing, technology-forward company.  This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a reputable company in Bellevue, WA. 

 

Accounting Assistant

Location: Bellevue, WA (ONSITE)

 

Essential Duties:

  • Assist with general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing/invoicing
  • Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
  • Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
  • Assist in creating financial reporting and scorecards on a timely basis
  • Assist external CPA firm with annual tax filings
  • Act as a backup for biweekly payroll functions
  • Assist with insurance evaluation, COI management, and renewals
  • Support IT with employee access and permissions on accounting platforms

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Stripe, and Ramp highly desired
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking

Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • At minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
  • 1-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
  • Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
