Presenter and Moderator Bios

Presenter: Ross Milne, VP, Food & Agribusiness, Cottingham & Butler

Ross is a Vice President on the Food & Agribusiness team at Cottingham & Butler. Specialization in a specific industry sector allows Ross to act as a true advisor to his clients based on his deep understanding of the industry and the risks associated with that industry. Establishing and maintaining close relationships with clients allows Ross to have a high level of engagement in developing best practices for risk and safety management, which ultimately blends in with his goal to reduce the frequency and severity of claims and the overall cost of insurance in the long term. Ross also holds a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification through the international HACCP alliance as well as a PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) in order to assist in the review of food safety programs. Prior to joining Cottingham & Butler, Ross came to the US from Scotland to pursue his golf career. He spent time as a golf professional both on the playing side and instruction side prior to joining the insurance industry.

Moderator: Wayne Sine, Education Director, National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives

After retiring as Tax Director for Southern States Cooperative, Wayne Sine was asked to serve as Education Director for NSAC. He has been a long-time and active member of NSAC, having served as past President of the Atlantic Chapter and past Chair of the Tax Committee. In addition to his work with NSAC, Wayne has served on the Legal, Tax, and Accounting (LTA) Committee of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, Chaired the Tax Committees for both the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Manufacturers Association, served on the Tax Policy Committee of the Virginia Society of CPAs, and served as past Region Vice President for the Tax Executives Institute.
