Honoring the Life and Legacy of Larry Romauld

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Larry Romauld, a devoted leader, mentor, and friend to NSAC and so many throughout the cooperative community.

Larry dedicated 42 years of his career to serving agricultural cooperatives, but those who knew him will remember him for far more than his professional accomplishments. He was a trusted advisor, a thoughtful leader, and someone who generously shared his knowledge and experience with others. Whether serving alongside colleagues on committees, mentoring emerging professionals, or simply offering encouragement and guidance, Larry made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Larry's commitment to the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives was extraordinary. As a Past National President and recipient of the NSAC Silver Bowl Award, he exemplified servant leadership and an unwavering dedication to advancing both the profession and our Society. His leadership helped shape NSAC, while his kindness, integrity, and genuine interest in others inspired generations of cooperative accounting professionals. While his influence was felt across the entire organization, his home was the NSAC Great Lakes Chapter. Those who served alongside Larry knew him not only as a respected leader, but as a genuine friend. He was truly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

While we mourn Larry's passing, we also celebrate a life of service, leadership, and friendship. His legacy will live on through the countless professionals he mentored, the relationships he built, and the enduring impact he made on NSAC and the cooperative industry.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Larry's family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Military Honors will be conducted by the Shawano VFW Post #2723 at the church.
