Course Description
Preparing for future disasters is difficult because nobody knows exactly what will happen in the future. In the absence of a crystal ball, the best business can do is become more resilient. Resilience is the ability to bounce back quickly from damage, failure, and disruption of any kind. Attend this session and discover top strategies organizations should implement to keep business up and running during any type of disaster, not just natural disasters.
Presenter and Moderator Bios
Presenter: Dennis Rose, CBCP, Senior Manager, Moss Adams
Mr. Rose has been responsible for assisting businesses with Enterprise Risk Management for over ten years handling the following Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery services: Business Continuity Program Management and Implementation, Risk Assessment, Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Strategies, Emergency Operations Plans, Crisis Communications, Business Plan Development and Implementation , Awareness and Training, and facilitating annual Exercises (Drills). Dennis is certified as a Certified Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP, #18522) accredited through DRI International (DRII). Recently, Dennis has been guiding organizations through the following training/exercises: 1) Natural Disasters, 2) Cyber Attacks, 3) Workplace Violence, 4) Hurricane preparation, and 5) Command and Control games. He is a Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), Certified Instructor and National Rural Electric Cooperative Association trainer. Mr. Rose is a national speaker ranging from Business Continuity, Leadership while in Crisis, Crisis Management responding to Disasters, Exercising your Emergency Operations Plan, Learning and Understanding Incident Command and other Leadership topics. Mr. Rose is an Adjunct professor at Texas State University and Austin Community College, Management Department ? teaching the following classes: 1) Leadership, 2) Principles of Management, 3) Business Ethics, 4) Introduction to Business and 5) Business Internship.

Delivery System
- All programs are delivered using the Zoom platform.
- Confirmations will include log-in instructions.
- Participants are able to participate using any device with an Internet connect (if the device does not have speakers, the participant can also dial-in) or they can participate with audio only by dialing in.
- All registrants will receive a link to the CLN’s recording by email within 48 business hours of event’s conclusion.
- There will be assistance available to help with technical and connectivity issues up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the presentation.
Registration
All registration is done on-line and each guest must provide their name and email address to participate. All NSAC members may register for free. Non-members may register for a nominal fee.
Refund Policy
NSAC will not issue refunds for CLNs. If a registrant is unable to participate in the CLN and provides notification to info@nsacoop.org 48 hours prior to the session, a credit will be provided for a future CLN. Alert the NSAC staff member monitoring the CLN if technical difficulties are encountered and technical support will be provided to eliminate problems with future CLNs.
Additional Information
Live participation is required for CPE credit and polling questions must be answered to document your active participation. All registrants will receive an email following the session with links to the slides and/or handouts, and a link to the CLN recording (unless otherwise stated). If you are unable to participate in the live session, you can still watch the recorded session, but you will not be eligible for CPE credits. Those eligible for credits will receive their certificate by email with 7 business days.
